How long until foreclosure on my home…plz help?

June 4th, 2010

due to me and my spouse being laid off the same month our mortg is 6 months behind, and i am on umemployment they said our income is too low to qualify for a modification, so at this point we just wanna know how long we may have in our home. I am in FL and we have Citi Mortgage. also the house has many repairs that need to be done and were hidden when we bought it 2 years ago so we would rather let it go into foreclosure at this point. thye havent started the foreclosure process so far!
have spent numerous hours on the phone with numerous calls to citi they said could work something out

I thought it was always about 6 months.
I have some neighbors that have not paid for a year now.
Seems like there is a backlog of foreclosed homes.
There is no way to tell.

Funny thing, those neighbors are saving up some serious money for the purchase of their next home.
And they are hoping that a new tax credit will come around next year.
