If you know the specific town their papers will list them. Some will even have some of them listed for auction

Banks don’t sell their foreclosures (called REO’s) direct. They list them with Realtors. The majority of the banks won’t look at an offer unless the buyer has been pre-approved or if buying cash, proof of funds.

Most local RE companies these days have foreclosure searches on their sites, some may require you to login to see all listings per VOW agreement but most you do not need to, definitely no CC required.

Calling a realtor would be a good idea. Also, our newpaper posts foreclosures and says when the auctions will be for them. I can't remember if it is in the paper every day or just on one day, but I'd try checking yours as well. We looked into it, but most of the foreclosed homes were either too small for us or too broken down.

Notices of Default, and Foreclosure are published in the newspaper BY LAW. The problem is there is not just one designated newspaper. So... search them all. Or simply buy a subscription to a foreclosure service. $200 bucks or less to get a good house deal? Just do it. 200 bucks to save thousands? It makes sense. Unless, you know, you're not really serious about getting a foreclosure.

Go directly to banks websites and look under foreclosed homes.
It can take a few minutes to find it.
Ex: Bank of america will show their owned homes.
Also look in the newspapers classified ads for foreclosed homes.
And.. just about all realtors have foreclosed homes on their websites.

A realtor will have a list of all the foreclosed homes for free.
If you are serious about getting a home, get a pre-approval mortgage letter from a bank.
A realotor will not give you the time of day without being pre-approved.
A bank does not charge to do this for you.

yes call a realtor. They market all foreclosed homes and are a part of the MLS
